While the video game has found its James Bond, the live-action films have yet to confirm a new actor for the role. Director Denis Villeneuve expressed excitement about the prospect of directing future Bond films. IO Interactive CEO and game director Hakan Abrak revealed that Daniel Craig’s head was sculpted onto Agent 47’s body for demo purposes when pitching the game to MGM and Eon.
The studio showcased the sun-soaked streets of Sapienza from the Hitman series to convey the type of social stealth gameplay they envisioned for the Bond game.

However, First Light was always intended to be a Bond origin story, so Craig was never a genuine option to play IO’s 007.
The studio selected Patrick Gibson to portray their 26-year-old James, exploring the character’s journey as he learns the ropes of the espionage world. IO Interactive is building a new mythology for Bond, with First Light potentially being the start of a trilogy. The game’s nemesis, a former MI6 agent known as 009, is currently an unrevealed role.
The cast of “007: First Light” brings together talented actors from various backgrounds. Patrick Gibson, known for his roles in “Dexter: Original Sin” and “Shadow and Bone,” makes his video game debut as Bond. Priyanga Burford, who had a small role in “No Time To Die,” takes on the role of M.
Lennie James, familiar to fans of “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead,” plays Bond’s mentor, John Greenway. Kiera Lester, a relative newcomer, portrays Miss Moneypenny, while veteran actor Alastair Mackenzie voices Q. Noemie Nakai, known for her role in “Tokyo Vice,” lends her voice and likeness to the femme fatale Miss Roth.
With its high-caliber cast and intriguing new storyline, “007: First Light” promises to be an exciting new chapter in the James Bond universe.
