Epic Games announced an exciting crossover between Fortnite and the popular animated film “KPop Demon Hunters.” Starting October 2 and running until November 1, players can expect new skins, a unique game mode, and special items inspired by the blockbuster movie. The collaboration introduces skins of the popular KPop Demon Hunters characters: Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. Singer Rei Ami, who provides the singing voice for Zoey, teased the arrival of these new skins on Monday.

Epic Games showcased the first looks of Zoey and Rumi’s skins on social media, revealing nearly identical recreations of their animated counterparts. The standout feature of this collaboration is the new game mode, Horde Rush: Demon Rush. In this revamped version of the fan-favorite horde mode, players team up with HUNTR/X to battle demons, tying in seamlessly with Fortnite Chapter 6’s demonic theme.

Fortnite teams up with popular film
In Demon Rush mode, players can equip abilities inspired by the KPop Demon Hunters between survival waves and recruit one of the trio as a computer-controlled ally. Special items themed around the characters, such as Rumi’s Empowered Sword and Zoey’s Golden Bubble Shield, will be available in other game modes like Battle Royale/Zero Build and Blitz Royale.
The introduction of Huntrix in Fortnite comes just in time for the game’s Halloween-themed event, Fortnitemares, which will also feature iconic characters like Ghostface from “Scream” and Jason Vorhees from “Friday the 13th.”
Released this summer, KPop Demon Hunters has smashed records with over 325 million views. The film’s success has led to plans for a live-action remake, a stage musical, and sequels. This event is part of Fortnite’s ongoing initiative to integrate popular cultural phenomena into its universe, following successful collaborations with franchises like Squid Game and The Walking Dead.
Fans and players are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new skins, which will be available for purchase starting October 2.
