The iPhone 17 Pro is set to introduce several exciting camera upgrades, according to a recent tip from an anonymous source familiar with an Apple promotional film. The source revealed that the iPhone 17 Pro will feature an 8x optical zoom camera, surpassing the 5x zoom found in the current iPhone 16 Pro. The new zoom module will include a physically-moving lens, similar to the continuous zoom cameras found in the Sony Xperia 1 and the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra.

This advancement will provide users with greater flexibility in capturing distant subjects.

The iPhone 17 Pro models will reportedly feature up to 8x optical zoom, a pro camera app, and an additional Camera Control button 🚨

This app aims to compete with popular third-party applications like Halide, Kino, and Filmic Pro, offering advanced features for both photo and video capture. Another surprising revelation from the tipster is the potential inclusion of a second physical camera control button on the top edge of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models. This button would complement the existing one located on the bottom-right edge, providing users with more convenient access to camera controls.

The source also corroborated previous rumors about a centered Apple logo and a new copper-like color option for the iPhone 17 Pro. While these rumors offer an exciting glimpse into the potential features of the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, it is important to approach them with caution until official announcements are made by Apple. As the anticipation for the iPhone 17 lineup grows, Apple enthusiasts and industry experts eagerly await more information about these groundbreaking camera advancements.
