It was interesting to hear, “The carriers may be getting tired of Samsung …” in regard to sales of LG phones. That emphasizes a big difference between PCs, tablets, and phones.
Phones are sold by manufacturers to carriers. The carrier is the customer of the manufacturer. One aspect of this is that a local manufacturer may have a better understanding of their carriers than someone coming in from outside. It may be easier for the local manufacturer to offer phones that are appealing to the local carriers.
Tablets are sold by manufacturers to users. The user is the customer.
PCs are sold by manufacturers to users, but also to buyers in big and medium sized organizations. It has been said that PC software and hardware has been designed with the enterprise buyer in mind, at least on the Windows side of things. A 2 in 1 certainly checks off a lot of boxes on any requirements list of a corporate buyer.
Some really excellent info I look forward to the continuation.
