Techpinions covers technology companies, including their valuations, funding, and public market performance. This page explains the limits of that coverage.
This is not investment advice
Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. We are a technology analysis publication. We are not investment advisers, broker-dealers, or financial planners, and we are not registered as any of those with the SEC or any state regulator.
Our articles, charts, and dashboards are general information about the technology industry. They do not account for your financial situation, risk tolerance, tax position, or goals. Before acting on anything you read here, talk to a licensed financial professional.
About our market data
Market data on this site comes from third-party providers and public sources, including exchange data via embedded widgets, index data from S&P Dow Jones Indices, IPO data from Renaissance Capital, and company filings with the SEC.
- Delays are normal. Embedded market data may be delayed. Do not use it for trading decisions.
- Static figures are stamped. Where we cite a number in article text, we date it. Those figures are accurate as of that date and are not maintained continuously.
- Private valuations are not prices. When we report that a private company is “valued at” a figure, that reflects the most recent reported funding round. It is not a market price, it is frequently stale, and it may never be realized.
- We don’t guarantee accuracy. We source carefully and correct errors, but we cannot warrant that third-party data is complete or correct.
Forward-looking statements
Analysis about what a company might do, what a market might become, or how a listing might perform is opinion. It is not a prediction, and our track record on such calls is mixed — as is everyone’s.
