Samsung is preparing to introduce an automatic call screening feature to its Galaxy phones with the upcoming One UI 8.5 update. This feature, which is popular among Google Pixel users, was discovered in the leaked One UI 8.5 firmware. Galaxy phones currently have a manual call screening tool through Bixby Text Call.
This allows users to ask callers about their reason for calling before deciding to answer. It works for all calls, including those from contacts and unknown numbers. Google’s automatic Call Screening on Pixel phones is different.
Non- beta users also!!

It activates for suspected spam, spoofed numbers, or first-time callers, but not for saved contacts. This feature is only available for Pixel users in the US right now. A manual version is offered in more regions.

Automatic call screening on Galaxy phones
The phone will be able to detect and answer suspicious calls on its own.
It will show a text transcript of the caller’s message without the user having to press the Bixby Text Call button. The manual option will still be available for users who prefer it. The new feature also promises additional capabilities.
For example, the AI assistant could answer calls automatically when Do Not Disturb is on. There will also be an option to choose a language for automatic call screening. This will make it more useful for a global audience.
The leaked code does not make it clear which markets will get the automatic call screening feature. However, based on how Samsung usually rolls out software globally, the feature will likely be available worldwide in English when One UI 8.5 starts coming to Galaxy phones. We will continue to uncover more features and updates coming with One UI 8.5.
