Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players have achieved a major milestone in the recent Tera Raid Battle event featuring Shiny Chien-Pao. The event, which ran from August 3 to August 17, 2025, saw trainers from around the world teaming up to defeat this powerful Legendary Pokémon. The total number of victories against Shiny Chien-Pao reached an impressive 5,020,994.
This exceeded the goal of one million collective victories set by the game developers. To celebrate this achievement, a special Shiny Chien-Pao distribution has been unlocked for all players. Trainers can claim their Shiny Chien-Pao via Mystery Gift from August 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PDT until September 30, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.
In addition to the Shiny Chien-Pao distribution, players will also receive sets of Tera Shards as rewards for their collective efforts.
Special Shiny Chien-Pao distribution announced
For every 100,000 victories beyond the initial one million, a set of 40 Tera Shards will be distributed, featuring four Tera Types with 10 shards each.
This bonus will be available for up to a maximum of 10 sets. To claim the Mystery Gifts, players need to launch their Pokémon Scarlet or Violet game, access the Poké Portal from the X menu, select Mystery Gift, and then choose “Get via Internet.” Once connected, they can select the desired gift and watch as it arrives in their game. It is important to save the game after receiving the gifts.
The next Tera Raid Battle event is already underway, featuring Shiny Ting-Lu with Ground as its Tera Type. This event will conclude on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have seen regular updates and events since their release, keeping players engaged with new challenges and rewards.
